If you are over seventeen, hold a provisional License ( though I do provide refresher lessons if you have a full lenience and would like to brush up on your driving skills) and can read a new style number plate from at least 20 meters then you are eligible for driving lessons.
What is covered?
- Getting to know the car, controls, instruments, moving away safely plus stopping.
- Changing gear and using the brakes correctly.
- Steering, safe road position.
- Use of Mirrors, Signals.
- Anticipation, forward planning
- Approaching T Junctions, emerging.
- Roundabouts.
- Dealing with oncoming vehicles, stationary vehicles.
- Use of speed
- Other road users
- All manoeuvres covered, reversing, bay parking forward and in reverse, parallel parking etc .
- Emergency stop
- Pedestrian crossings.
- Dual carriageways, country roads.
- Use of Sat Nav.
- Vehicle safety checks.
